Co-founder

I co-founded an experimental record label with John Xela after we'd been running shows in Birmingham through our Default brand. The label is one of the things I'm most proud of. Unfortunately it never generated sufficient revenues to support both of us full time, and I left it to John to run whilst I worked on other things. The site was by me, and I kept some involvement from time to time.

The Type Records catalogue(119)

Type put out records for seventeen years. Its own site has gone, so the catalogue lives here now: every release, whether or not I had a hand in it.

78 of the 119 have a page of their own here.

Assembled from MusicBrainz and from this archive, since neither holds all of it. Catalogue numbers ran unbroken, which makes the blanks meaningful: they are either releases neither source records, or numbers assigned and never used. TYEP001–002 are a separate early EP series.
