This is a release on Type Records, the label I co-founded with John Xela. John was responsible for its musical output; I contributed in the first few years on design and running the label. The catalogue is archived here for posterity.
Where 'Float' showed off Peter's strengths as a composer working mainly with the piano, 'Home' returns to the sounds Peter grew up around — voice and the acoustic guitar. Layers of vocals twist and tumble through a fog of instrumentation, but none of these flourishes ever dampen the impact of the songs themselves. Reacting to his move from Portland, Oregon to Copenhagen, Peter has created ten delicate musings on what makes a place a home. The Type release is a limited vinyl edition only; CD and digital editions are available on Bella Union (UK) and HUSH (USA).
