This is a release on Type Records, the label I co-founded with John Xela. John was responsible for its musical output; I contributed in the first few years on design and running the label. The catalogue is archived here for posterity.

Khonnor, the 17-year-old US-based wunderkind, first came to the attention of many through his cult internet-only EP releases as 'Grandma' and 'I, Cactus'; 'Handwriting' is his long-awaited debut album, two years in the making. Dreamlike digitally manipulated guitar noise and wavering synths form the foundation for most of the tracks, complimented by Khonnor's frank and open lyrics as he charts the ups and downs of teenage love, pocket change and lost hazy nights. Using only an old PC, a microphone from a 'Learn Japanese' boxset and a single low quality PC speaker, Connor Kirby-Long created something fresh and original.
