- Outcome
- A Webby-award-winning agency with a team of about ten at its peak, for Vivienne Westwood, the V&A, BMAG, Sprite, Mars and KitKat.
3form was a design and web agency in Birmingham. Antonio Gould and I set it up in 2001 while we were at university, and I was its creative director and later its CEO.
We built websites, content management systems, e-commerce, games, animation and print, and by 2007 we were calling ourselves a creative design and technology agency. Every site we made could be updated by its owner through our own system, 3edit. Our clients included the BBC, Sprite, Mars, KitKat, Vivienne Westwood, the V&A and Birmingham Museum and Art Gallery.
At our peak we were a team of around ten. We were shortlisted for a Webby in 2008 and won one, were finalists for the Royal Television Society's innovation award in 2007, and were named Digital Pioneers the same year. In 2009 I decided to do a venture-backed startup, and you can't run an agency as well as do that, so Made Media took on 3form's projects and I acted as a fractional associate for them for a year.
