"CRM for normal people... An address book on steroids. Could we make an app that was just a great way to make a list of people?" Started in week two of Makeshift from an idea Nick and Paul had been bouncing around — 'something to do with lists of people'. Post-mortem: "Things we learnt trying, and failing, to build a 'CRM for everybody else'. Short version - You can't do it on two days a week." The stated failure mode: "the problem was that we didn't optimise for a specific enough use case... and instead tried to go big before we even started."
