A letter to my MP on the day of the Digital Economy Bill second reading
Today is the second reading of the controversial Digital Economy Bill. I've written to you on the subject before and I'll probably continue to do so should it go through in wash-up this week. Perhaps you are unaware of the scale of the online outcry about the web blocking and disconnection proposals. I won't reiterate my concerns, but if you don't want to take my word for how the bill as it stands will affect small British creative businesses (90% of the music industry is below the VAT threshold for instance), here is a snipping from an article in the Liverpool Echo published today.
