Launching a monster startup - Aframe
In October last year I upped sticks and left Birmingham where I'd lived for 12 years and headed to London to do something that I couldn't tell anyone about. Last year at a Courvoisier Future 500 party I met the rather talented David Peto who was looking for his next challenge after having set up a successful video post production business Unit in Soho. To cut a long story short - a lunch or two later, and several backs of envelopes filled with ideas we'd decided to do something big and ambitious. That thing is Aframe - we've taken a long list of problems that people have when they are working in moving image making, and come up with an exciting solution. On top of that a very strong set of experienced investors have backed the business plan with around £2m of their own money. We're going to be announcing the Aframe beta on November 17th and I'll explain everything then.
