WPStatic Test

Proving out WP2Static so Oak National Academy could come off WordPress — flattening the site to static assets to cut its attack and performance surface.

Not a website so much as the output of one. The repo contains a whole WordPress site rendered to flat files — index.html, a “Hello world!” post, a sample page, category and author archives, feeds, Yoast-generated sitemaps and the unmodified Twenty Twenty theme's assets — pushed by the WP2Static plugin one file per commit, each message reading “Static build CREATE ”. It is stock throughout: the page title is “Sandbox - Just another WordPress site” and the author is sandbox-admin. The one hand-written artefact in it is a marker file, .WP2Static/5e997d5867658, whose entire contents read “WP2Static test upload”. The sitemaps name the site it was exported from: sandbox-s.thenational.academy.
