Deck Roulette was a random talk generator. Instead of a running order it held a set of images and slide titles and picked from them live, so whatever the computer chose next was what you had to talk about.
I made it for Create Something Every Day at the Do Lectures in 2014: “I did the talk as a hack by making it randomly pick from a set of slides so I didn’t know what would come next!” I used it again at CreativeMornings/LDN in January 2015, for an improvised talk on colour.
It stayed a format and never became a product. Its one listing is in The idea funnel, among about fifty codebases from eighteen months of hacking at Makeshift: “random talk generator I used for my Do Lectures talk”.
