The Post-SXSW Interactive “Brain Dump”

Last night the crew from the SXSWM trip got together for what we were calling the ‘Post SXSW Brain Dump’ which is available as a 1 hr 15 min video on Bambuser.

Those present (left to right): Joanna Geary, Ruth Ward, Nick Lockey, Me - Stef Lewandowski, Pete Ashton and Dom Murphy.

The idea was that we’d all sit in a quiet room, set up a camera and a microphone and simultaneously broadcast and record a conversation summarising some of the ideas that we’ve taken away from the trip. This worked to some degree, but I left a cable at home so we had to make do with a webcam (apologies).

We met at the Lloyds TSB Board Room at the Hippodrome which Rob MacPherson kindly offered us at very short notice. Thanks Rob, and thanks to Ruth for arranging it.

There was no WIFI, so we relied on Jo’s 3G card in her laptop for internet access. We used Bambuser as a place for us to broadcast and to have a live chat interface going on at the same time. It wasn’t exactly crammed with users, but we did have 7 active commenters and who knows how many lurkers. Thanks for your input everyone!

It turned into a quite exciting discussion that was good fun to be part of, and I think makes interesting viewing (or rather listening - the webcam’s field of view was a little too narrow to see everyone at once).

Jo got a copy of the online chat discussion that went along with the video, which apparently isn’t archived on Bambuser for good or bad.

One of the questions at the end was if I would put up my backlog of posts as titles so that people could choose which ones are of most interest for me to write about. Here they are…

My backlog of SXSW blog posts. Which ones do you want?

I mentioned that I still had a backlog of posts to get through which is actually getting longer.

Here are the titles for the blog posts I have planned. If you want me to prioritise any please let me know.
