Outcome: Won “best in show” at National Hack the Government Day by Rewired State. It went no further than the hack day.

Loftify was a service for families to club together to pay for insulation and energy efficiency upgrades on older relatives' houses, with a little help from the Government. The pitch: "Get loft insulation and huge efficiency savings for a fraction of the market rate." How it worked: your gran's house is cold and expensive to heat; family-members pitch in with a group contribution; the government picks up the rest of the costs; professional insulation fitters warm up her home. A calculator page priced options (draught excluding, loft insulation, water-saving shower heads, standby savers) and totalled the government contribution.
